The Coffin Works: Why are we scared of talking about death? We asked people connected to a Birmingham coffin factory what they really think about death and dying. Dark and depressing? Think again, this short documentary is humorous and full of heart. Out of the dark comes the light.

damned spot: General consensus is that Lady Macbeth was crazy/evil/a witch, but this woman had been through multiple miscarriages and still births. Grief can make you do things so out of character you seem crazy. 'damned spot' takes an excerpt from Shakespeare's tragedy, uses the exact same text but spins it in a modern way.

SCREENED AT EUROPEAN INTERNATIONAL SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL, FILMING SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL, ANKORA IFF, ONE&OTHER FESTIVAL, HERBERT ART GALLERY.

"Damned Spot changed the mood entirely...Lauren Midwinter’s short film is an engaging and innovative exploration of Macbeth"- ONE&OTHER magazine

CLOSE

Made entirely of stills 'Close' is part narrative film, part art installation. Lawrence is in love, or so it seems, but the line between love and obsession is very fine. Designed to highlight the increase in stalkings being reported, Close was made before mobile phones and social media.

pushing mundane

Dark comedy about middle class Britain.  Michael is an average guy.  He has a good, if boring, job.  A girlfriend.  A new flat.  Everything is fine.  Fine.  Fine isn't always fine.  Michael is bored of his mundane life.  Be careful what you wish for Michael.
