Rather than film school, Lauren trained in directing at a conservatoire drama school. She learnt how to craft anything from theatre and opera to film and radio. As such Lauren has a unique, skilled approach to working with a wide variety of narratives and communicating these to talent and teams.

Her work is soulful and thoughtful with a sharp edge, often finding the light in dark moments. Lauren has just finished writing her second TV pilot.

The Coffin Works: Why are we scared of talking about death? We asked people connected to a Birmingham coffin factory what they really think about death and dying. Dark and depressing? Think again, this short documentary is humorous and full of heart. Out of the dark comes the light.
